A New Season

It’s been a while. To those who followed this blog through the summer, thank you for your friendship and prayers. God is good. He has blessed me with life, full health, a wonderful job, a lovely apartment, and two amazing little boys who call me Mommy. I couldn’t possibly ask for more, and I couldn’t be more grateful for His mercy on my life.

Reading through my previous blogs, I realized again how undeserving I am of His mercy. Although His hand has been guiding my life this whole time and I knew it, I still continued to doubt and complain. (See Exodus 17.7). Psalm 95.8,9 suggests a heavy punishment for testing the LORD like this. And yet, for His name’s sake, He spared me (Ez 20.9, Is 43.25).

After a lot prayer leading up to the decision to start blogging again, I also decided to take down my blogs from the summer. There’s a bunch of reasons, the most important is that my writings were not glorifying to God. It’s so clear now that He had every single event planned out from beginning to end, (Prov 16.9; 19.21) and they were truly, deeply good (Gen 50.20; Ro 8.28, Jas 1.17) for me, and for His glory (Col 1.16).
“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor? Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid? For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” ~Rom 11.33-36

Thanks for reading.
